Sand reclamation is a process of sand cleaning. In this process, foundry sand is reconditioned without affecting its physical properties. Blinders and coating adhere to sand grains during intense thermal operations such as casting production, which are removed by reclamation process which helps in using the sand for subsequent use. Sand, with mixture of coating and binders, go through the grinding process during the sand reclamation process. Then dust like particles which are too coarse get removed by vibration. Then sand is sent to final cleaning process. Reclamation of sand can be done by mechanical process, or wet reclamation and thermal reclamation.
